We are offering virtual training on how to establish a Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) for non-profit organizations. This will allow organizations to offer continuity in their operations and prioritize during an emergency and disaster. To participate in this training on Monday, March 23, 2020 at 2:00 pm EST, register at this link: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/7415455368517024269
We started a new support system for Spanish speakers. It is a toll-free telephone number where they can communicate before, during or after a disaster, after it has been assigned as such by our organization.
This call center has the mission of providing shelter information, state and local government contacts, in addition to any detail that is necessary to help be safe in a disaster. After the disaster, it will provide information on the steps to follow, including guidance on where to call for registrations with FEMA or the states.
This service will be free for all people who only speak Spanish and have difficulty understanding the information provided in their community. The telephone number assigned for this initiative is: 1-800-413-2932. We are so happy, that we can contribute in the process of response and recovery.
